Since I was on a hiatus from my blog for a few days because the hotel I was at didn’t have free wifi, I thought I would show you what I did during that weekend. Thursday April 10, me and 5 of my friends went to NYC with our school club. This was not the first time I was there, but I was even more excited than before. Since It was a school trip I didn’t get to do as much as I had hoped but I still had a fantastic time. Our hotel was SMACK across the street from Madison Square Garden and I was buzzing!!
We took a few elevator rides to the top of the Empire State building and I practically cried the whole ride up. I’m terrified of heights. Here my friend and I took a nice picture on a bench in front of a fake park background…even though we went to Central Park.
The wind at the top of the Empire State building was absolutely horrific. So horrific, in fact, that the camera was shaking and that’s why the picture was so blurry.
And here we have the infamous Wall Street…In case you didn’t know, the New York Stock Exchange is not on Wall Street, it’s on Broad Street. As weird as it may sounds, I have quite the interest in stocks. I check my app every morning and check my stocks as often as possible. I’m not stock crazy and money crazy like Jordan Belfort was, but I find it fascinating how the system works.
Packing lightly for a trip is not something that comes easy to me…you can’t tell, but in this picture we’re all wearing long pants and long shirts thinking it would be 50 degrees, but no it was 74 degrees…in the sun…at the top of the Statue of Liberty…
Probably my favorite part of the trip was going to the wax museum for the second time. I don’t remember Leonardo DiCaprio being there the last time I was, so I was quite happy as you can tell! Our final full day in NYC was a hop on hop off tour and we eventually made our way to my favorite place…SOHO! (And a stop at the Waverly Diner…No, Alex Russo wasn’t there…) SOHO is so much fun for me and I could live there (I plan to one day!)
Ever been to NYC? Tell me your favorite thing about the city that never sleeps.
The second installment in my monthly celebrity style steals is Katelyn Tarver. If you know Katelyn then you probably know her from her role as Jo Taylor in the Nickelodeon TV show Big Time Rush. I honestly can’t describe her style in my opinion. There is something about her that makes her rock any look she tries. From walking the streets of LA to any award show or movie premiere, she always surprising me. 99% of the time that she is casually dressed she is wearing something from her collaboration with Make Believe clothing. (http://makebelieveclothing.com) Go check it out! She is one of those people that is a natural beauty. She doesn’t need to get all dolled up with fancy clothes and makeup to make her look pretty. Onstage when she is performing is where some of my favorite looks of hers are portrayed.
The first few days of Coachella have come to an end and while the music of the festival is important the fashion is just as important. Personally I am not a huge fan of some of the outfit choices of the Coachella ‘season’, but there are some I really enjoyed. Take a look at some of my favorites and least favorites.
Emma Roberts is totally on point here. Well, to me at least. I love this outfit on her and it would totally be something I’d wear whether it was to Coachella or not.
I have mixed feelings on Ke$ha’s outfit. I like the outfit, but I don’t know if I like it on her. I also think it might be the hair that turns me off.
Kendall, what is in your nose??
In this outfit I would probably ditch the white wrap. I like the outfit better without it. Oh, and I would ditch the boots for some sandals too.
I am obsessed with Paris’ outfit in this picture. Nicky’s is not for me, but I love her in it. I like the minimal use of accessories in both of their outfits as well.
Okay, I didn’t purposely save my favorite person for last, that’s just how it happened. If it were five years earlier I would NOT like something like this, but my tastes have drastically changed over the years and I love this outfit. If I had to change one thing it would be the boots. I don’t know, but I would have gone for a gladiator sandal or something of that nature.
Tell me what your favorites and least favorites of Coachella were.
Oh, did any of you catch the video of Leonardo DiCaprio dancing at Coachella? Go check it out!
Hey everyone! I didn’t get as much done as I would like to this past weekend since I was away and the hotel didn’t have wifi, but I am back and I am going to do a bit of a post coverage on what I have coming up.
1. Coachella coverage
2. My Style Inspiration #2
3. Weekend coverage (maybe)
Hello everyone, sorry for my bit of a hiatus, I have been planning out a few new posts. A while ago I was contacted about Chuck-Chucks Jewelry. Chuck-Chucks is located in Canada and is interchangeable jewelry with countless ways to express yourself through their jewelry. I picked out a band and six buttons to accessorize. The buttons I picked out are in the pictures below. I picked the British flag because I truly enjoy England and everything about it, the watch face button because I never go anywhere without a watch. I chose the metal button, and the floral button because I simply liked the designs of them. The BANG one was chosen because I am a big fan of Batman and it reminded me of the comic bang. Last, but not least, I chose the compass because of my love for travel The band is about an inch and there are three spots to put buttons on. The bracelet I got was leather, but there are many other pieces of jewelry to chose from. I spent a great deal of time on their website and I have to say I am quite impressed. The amount of compliments I got on the bracelet are uncountable and I was really excited to tell people where I got it. Men, women, children, people of any age can wear it and rock it! Chuck-Chucks isn’t your typical jewelry and that’s what makes it fun to wear. Definitely check out the website and buy tons of stuff. When you go to the site type in the code Francesca1 for a discount on your items. (http://www.chuck-chucks.com)
For the past few months I have been working on job shadowing my cousin for my senior project. She is a milliner (http://www.ginamazzotta.com) and this past Saturday her hats were featured in a fashion show. I was lucky enough to design a hat that happened to be featured in the show as well. It was such a surreal experience and I was so glad to be a part of it. This picture below was the had I designed and the model who wore it with the absolute most fantastic shoes ever (If you can see them…)
I snuck in to the show when I wasn’t backstage to take a few pictures of the outfits that had hats, but most of the good pictures are from backstage (Sorry if the pictures are a bit low quality)
